Meet the Directors

Mrs Amy has been BCC’s Artistic Director since 2021. She got her MAED from Virginia Tech, where she completed dual concentrations in vocal and instrumental music education. Mrs Amy believes deep musical foundations make for life-long musicians, so she leans into the development of aural skills and audiation in addition to proper singing formation and music theory. Amy studied voice with Nancy McDuffie and choral techniques with Brian Gendron, and assisted BCC’s founding director Patrice Yearwood as a college student in the choir’s early years. Following a teaching position at Christiansburg Middle School and time away from teaching to be with her four kids, she is delighted to make a return to serving the community with her gifts for teaching and music.

Jordan Seiler is a Christiansburg native who last made music with the Blacksburg Children's Chorale in 2013, as a singer. This year, Jordan rejoins the Chorale as accompanist. An accomplished pianist, Jordan has 17 years of piano experience which he has put to good use in studio recitals, with the worship team at his church, and in 2018 he was the recipient of the Rebecca Orr Memorial Piano Technique Festival. When he’s not making music, Jordan works as a software engineer for Ozmo, a local technology company.

Cherub Choir welcomes Michelle Manning this year, a transfer student majoring in Choral Music Education at Radford University. Originally from Rocky Mount Virginia, she sings in the Radford Singers, Community Chorus, and Mariachi Band. When she graduates, Michelle hopes to teach choir in a K-12 setting and is thinking about church or children’s choirs as well.
